IM-708 - Quantum Psychology
(IM-708)
Mental illnesses, even when they don’t precipitate physical illness, are an important issue to address for a quantum doctor or quantum health management specialist. In
this course, however, we will only consider neurosis and not psychosis. Aside from the healing of neurosis, we will also explore positive mental health.
We will begin with the idea of an integrative psychology based on quantum physics and the metaphysics of the primacy of consciousness. We explore depth psychology—especially the work of Freud and Jung—from a quantum point of view which leads us to a straightforward distinction of the conscious and the unconscious. We will explore
what a quantum physics approach has to say about psychotherapy as per depth psychology. We also explore psychosomatic medicine. The next question we take up is: why doesn’t depth psychotherapy always work? We discuss this question within the context of energy psychology, negative emotions and brain circuits.
We then take up transpersonal psychology and the use of superconscious states for dealing with psychopathology. We will discuss the scope of quantum creativity in psychotherapy and how the ideas of quantum creativity involve concepts of both depth psychology and transpersonal psychology in this way integrating them both.
We will move on to the subject of positive mental health. In particular, we explore the healing of negative emotions via transformative experiences of positive emotions.
Finally, we will visit the subject of the healing path to spirituality.
